Allah says in the Quran:
{And hold fast all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you) and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah’s favor on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love so that by His grace ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of fire and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make his signs clear to you: that ye may be guided.} (Al-Imran 3:103)

Faithful believers are to each other as the bricks of a wall, supporting and reinforcing each other. So saying, the Prophet Muhammad clasped his hands by interlocking his fingers.” (Al-Bukhari)

We believe that Muslims are to work together to bring out the best of each of us. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) have taught us through various examples during his lifetime, that we Muslims have to work as a community. A successful community lies in the unity of its people. There are many examples of teamwork in Islam. One of the most important being the congregational prayers. hajj ritual, etc.

One of the earliest example, was the teamwork between the Ansars of Madinah and the Muhajireen of Makkah. The Ansars were sharing their homes, their food, providing jobs to total strangers; and the Muhajireen, putting their trust in Allah by following the Prophet’s orders to migrate into unknown territory and start new lives. We are to also remind ourselves that teamwork is a form of humility because Muslims are encouraged to bring out the best of each other and to shun evil at all times.

“The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit, and the most beloved of deeds according to Allah the Mighty, the Magnificent, is that you bring happiness to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or stave away hunger from him. It is more beloved to me that I walk with my brother Muslim in his time of need than I stay secluded in the mosque for a month. Whoever holds back his anger, Allah will cover his faults and whoever suppresses his fury while being able to execute it, Allah will fill his heart with satisfaction on the Day of Standing. Whoever walks with his brother Muslim in need until he establishes that for him, Allah will establish his feet firmly on the day when all feet shall slip. Indeed, bad character ruins deeds just as vinegar ruins honey.” [Tabarani, Hasan]
